"Phantom" Subscription Report Emailed to User with Empty HTML Attachment

A user receives "phantom" emails from Reports Subscriptions that do not exist anymore on the current APEX instance.
Every day the user gets two automatic messages with a subject that belonged to a Report Subscription that is no longer valid and the attachment / body is an empty HTML.
When viewing the report subscriptions from Administration > Manage Service > Manage Interactive Report Settings > Subscriptions in the workspace, only one report appears. The "phantom" report is not listed.
APEX has been upgraded every time a major release is out
