ODI-10182 and "Could not get JDBC Connection" Signaled when Attempting to Stop an ODI 12c Standalone Agent with Repositories Running on a RAC Configuration

Symptoms
After upgrading an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 10g or 11g configuration comprising a Master and a Work Repository hosted in different schema to ODI 12c on an Oracle RAC configurations and successfully launching the ODI version 12.1.3 Standalone Agent on a Unix-like server using French local values, the Standalone Agent is launched successfully with no problems.
However, when attempting to stop the same Standalone Agent using the agentstop script, error messages are observed in the standard output of the agentstop script command and the Agent remains active:
