LCM Seeds Low Memory for the Access Domain
Last updated on DECEMBER 24, 2014
Applies to:Oracle IDM Tools - Version 126.96.36.199 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
The memory settings for OAM servers were very low OOTB, when using the IDM LCM Deploy tool.
According to Doc . 15.10.3 (Troubleshooting OAM11g)
188.8.131.52 - Access Manager Runs out of memory... to update the setSOADomain.sh file to update the memory settings... there is NO such file in the specifed location and specified params doesn't exist in default "setDomain.sh" either.
Deployment Wizard JVM configs:
Admin Server: -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:PermSize=512m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m
Soa Server: -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:PermSize=512m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m
OIM Server: -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:PermSize=512m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m
Admin Server: -Xms256m -Xmx512m
OAM Server: -Xms256m -Xmx512m
OAAM Admin : -Xms256m -Xmx512m
OAAM Server: -Xms256m -Xmx512m
OAM Domain doesn’t have EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES and CUSTOM_MEM_ARGS defined in setDomainEnv.sh that exist in OIM domain.
The low heap size of 512m is leading to Out Of Memory (OOM) issues on the OAM Domain.
