Page Request Loading Slow/Hang After Upgrading to GlassFish Server 3.1.2.7 (and 3.1.2.10)

Symptoms
After updating to 3.1.2.9 from 3.1.2.5 or 3.1.2.6 a web application seems to have issues being serving request correctly. This issue is not seen after that rolling back to version 3.1.2.5 or 3.1.2.6. Thit seems that certain HTTP requests (need not be HTTPS) are failing to get correct responses. The web application uses AJAX and it seems certain AJAX requests will fail to get the responses and are lost. By turning off the HTTP keepalive by setting the max-connections to 0 or 1 (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18930_01/html/821-2431/abegk.html), the problem is not seen.
Changes
Problem is seen after upgrading to 3.1.2.7 and known to happen also to latest GlassFish (3.1.2.10) at the current available version.
