JRockit JVM Crashes at Random Intervals Due to Linux Kernel XMM bug

(Doc ID 1963528.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Application Toolkit - Version and later
Oracle JRockit - Version 7.0 and later
Linux x86-64

JRockit JVM crashed and produced the following jrockit.<pid>.dump file

As can be seen, the dump shows a crash due to an illegal memory access.  The stack trace shows a thread working at Garbage Collection at the time of the crash.  This crash is just a sample, however, and may not exactly match all crashes from this cause.
