Symptoms
GlassFish Message Queue 4.x and 5.x respond slowly, some requests taking a long time and other timing out.
When the requests ramp up and many clients are requesting the portmapper you may see the delay. Other clients' jms requests also contribute to the portmappers delays. As threads are working, the single portmapper thread will take a bit longer, such as 1 second instead of a couple of milliseconds. As a result, you have more and more requests waiting in the portmapper backlog for a longer period of time. Over time this can cause significant delays.
