Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g server 11.1.1.7.0 version, typically multiple servers in High Availability (HA).

Experiencing high cpu usage for process oidldapd. OID sometimes stops responding on one of the nodes, with 100% of CPU usage, and it is necessary to restart the OID processes to temporarily recover.

Logs frequently show the following error:

[Note: The log example below is from AIX platform (ECONNRESET 73  /* Connection reset by peer */).  The OS error number for "connection reset by peer" will vary by platform.]
