Potential 10g WebGate on IIS permission issues using SIMPLE and CERT mode (Doc ID 1969936.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 14, 2016

Applies to:

COREid Access - Version 6.0 to
z*OBSOLETE: Microsoft Windows

The goal is that the IIS Web Server  WebGate version 10g on Windows platform can read the SIMPLE or CERT mode certificates in order to establish a TLS (Transport Layer Security) connection to the Access Server. In rare cases it has been observed that the permissions set by the installer do not allow the reading of the keystore password set in password.xml file. Setting the permissions at a higher level allows the keystore to be read, the webserver to initialize, and the Webgate to establish TLS connection to the Access Server.
