Getting 413 Errors For POST Requests On Oracle iPlanet Web Server With SiteMinder Plugin Configured (Doc ID 1969960.1)

Symptoms

There is an iPlanet web server (7.0) with reverse proxy configured serving as front end. It also has SiteMinder plugin installed to perform user authentication. There is another iPlanet web server (6.1) configured as backend to serve Siebel content also has SiteMinder plugin installed to perform user authentication.  Users experience 413 errors when accessing the Siebel content via the front end web server.

External F5 -> DMZ webservers(7.0 Reverse proxy & SiteMinder) -> Internal F5 -> Internal webservers(6.1 & SiteMinder ) -> Appserver(Siebel object manager)
