Goal
A WebGate is a web server plug-in that is included in Oracle Access Manager (OAM). The WebGate intercepts HTTP requests from users and forwards them to the Oracle Access Manager Access Server for authentication and authorization. When WebGate plugin is installed and configured on Oracle Traffic Director (OTD), there are some additional steps needing to be performed if SSL termination occurrs on the Oracle Traffic Director. That is, the SSL is configured between the client and Oracle Traffic Director , and non-SSL is configured between Oracle Traffic Director and Oracle Access Manager. This is to ensure that any redirected URL will use HTTPS not HTTP in the URL so that when client following the redirected URL will still use HTTPS to access OTD.
