Goal

How to Change NLS_LANG Settings With JDBC Client Applications?
This sample shows how the Locale impacts the session opened by a program using JDBC thin drivers. The Locale Default is initialized with US settings. Not using the setDefault method, the Defaults are inherited from LANG environment variable on UNIX and by ControlPanel | Regional Settings on WinNT.
