COLLECTION_SEARCH_CONTENT Performs Unbound Queries When Folder Parameter Is Invalid Folder
(Doc ID 1985817.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 16, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When COLLECTION_SEARCH_CONTENT is run with an invalid folder as a parameter, the search is still run without using the folder as part of the query criteria.
This can return a large number of items, and the searches can take a long time.
For example, running a service like this, where Folder2 is not a valid folder, returns every content item checked into the server:
http://xxxxxxxxx.example.com:16200/cs/idcplg?IdcService=COLLECTION_SEARCH_CONTENT&dCollectionPath=/Contribution%20Folders/Folder2&dOriginalName=df1.txt&dReleaseState=Y&hasCollectionPath=true
Instead, it should return 0 results since there are no matches on the original query, due to the dCollectionPath being invalid.
