Content Tracker Parameter Configuration Settings in the General config.cfg File are Not Working (Doc ID 1987595.1)

Last updated on APRIL 09, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.8.0 to 11.1.1.8.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the Configuration Reference document, there is the following note for each Content Tracker parameters (e.g. SctDoNotArchive, SctMaxRecentCount) which are listed in the following section:

Fusion Middleware Configuration Reference for Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) (E10726-06)
2 Configuration Variables List by Usage
    2.4 Content Tracker

Important:
To ensure this setting remains in effect after a software update, perform one of these tasks:
- Add or edit the setting in the IntradocDir/config/config.cfg file.
- In the Content Server user interface, choose Administration, then Admin
Server, then General Configuration, and enter the setting in the Additional Configuration Variables field.

However, these parameters configuration in IntradocDir/config/config.cfg according to the description above seems not to work well, the changes seem to be simply ignored.
