Mapviewer Displays Objects in a Vector Layer Incorrectly When HTML5 JavaScript API Is Used To Render A Map

Using the new HTML5 JavaScript mapping API to render a map.

The map consists of:

1) a TileLayer as the base information, and
2) a vector layer displaying a set of points, which is overlayed onto of the base TileLayer

The rendered map has 10 zoom layers, all which are at a very large scale.

The largest scale is 1/100, providing significant spatial detail to the map.

The points displayed as part of the TileLayer are displayed accurately based on their coordinate values.

The same set of points displayed as a vector layer on top of the base TileLayer are not displayed accurately.

In fact, the points are rendered on an evenly spaced grid.
Mapviewer appears to ignore the actual coordinate values for the points in the vector layer.
