Performance Issues Lead to LimitInternalRecursion Errors and Require Perl interpreter Tuning for CGI Script (Doc ID 1995603.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Latency issues with Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) are the suspected cause of poor performance accessing applications. Issue may only be seen on a production system with a fair amount of load. Latency issue is narrowed down to accessing a .gif file handled solely by OHS. This may be separate issue from overall tuning, but the goal is to improve the processing and delivery of a .gif file as a first step. In lower load, the .gif is delivered quickly. After load increases, it can frequently take up to 10 seconds, (highest 211 seconds) consistently fluctuating throughout the day.
