Large Number of Temp Files in the tmp Folder for Outside In (OIT) Content Access SDK
(Doc ID 1996207.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 25, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Outside In Technology - Version 8.4.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
On version 8.4.1 (or newer) of Outside In Content Access (CA) SDK, the symptom is the parser creates a lot of SSSxxxxx and IOCxxxxx files in the /tmp folder. In one of our customer's cluster, that /tmp folder is filled with lot of SSSxxxxx and IOCxxxxx files. Due to this, the cluster went down as there is low free disk space in /tmp folder.
Question 1: Why are these files being created in /tmp folder and, if it is for temporary purposes, why are they not deleted?
Question 2: Is there more guidance about how to set the SCCOPT_TEMPDIR or SCCOPT_REDIRECTTEMPFILE option? What API is needed to use this option? Sample code would be much appreciated.
