Custom Metadata Fields are Showing the Internal Value Instead of Displaying the Option-List Value on Search Forms (Doc ID 1997068.1)

On : 11.1.1.8.0 version, Content Server

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When using a standard search form, custom metadata fields which have an option-list that is populated using a table/view  show the internal value instead of the display value, but on the checkin form the display value is displayed.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It is expected that on both the standard search and the checkin form, custom metadata fields with option lists show the display value

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Table and/or view in configuration manager


2. Create a custom metadata field and use the table and/or view to populate the option list.

 


3. View the metadata field on the checkin page

4. View the metadata field on the standard search page



BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are confused since different values are showing up for the same metadata field, depending if they are checking in a file or searching for one.
