Access to Oracle Access Manager 11g R2PS2 (OAM 11.1.2.2) Admin Console Not Working with IE 11 Browser (Doc ID 1997689.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Attempts to access Oracle Access Manager 11g R2PS2 (OAM 11.1.2.2) console with Internet Explorer (IE) 11 throws a pop up message of;

"You are using an unsupported browser. The supported browsers are Internet Explorer 7 and higher, Firefox 2.0.0.2 and higher,
 Safari 3.1.2 and higher and Google Chrome 1.0 and higher"

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Should be able to access the OAM 11.1.2.2 console with Internet Explorer 11 without any pop up message being thrown

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps;

1. Install OAM 11.1.2.2
2. Access the OAM console with Internet Explorer 11.
3. Pop up message "You are using an unsupported browser. The supported browsers are Internet Explorer 7 and higher, Firefox 2.0.0.2 and higher, Safari 3.1.2
    and higher and Google Chrome 1.0 and higher" is thrown.
