How To Control WebLogic Session Creation When Oracle Traffic Director Healthcheck Is Run?
(Doc ID 1998565.1)
Last updated on JUNE 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Traffic Director - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Oracle Traffic Director (OTD) can be configured to send a healthcheck request to Origin Servers in an origin pool to determine their status.
This can happen if an Origin Server has failed previously or where no requests have been passed to that server in some time.
The OTD healthcheck does not re-use the HTTP sessions, so there can be a slow build up of sessions on the WebLogic Server. Normally these sessions would be removed over time but it's possible to get these sessions to be reaped more quickly if required.
