ESSO-PR Displaying The Error "A local error has occurred (0x8007203b)" On Certain Pages (Doc ID 1998756.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to access ESSO-PR server, the response from the ESSO-PR server is failing when certain pages are accessed.

More specifically, if you attempt to access any page that invokes an Active Directory repository query, the page returned the following message:

A local error has occurred. (0x8007203b)

 

You will also see this type of error in the Windows Event log on the ESSO-PR server:

  

 

Changes

 An infrastructure change may have been made that impacts DNS with respect to SPN naming.
