ComboboxListOfValues Does Not Render Correctly In IE When Display Width Exceeds A Certain Amount (Doc ID 1999125.1)

Last updated on MARCH 03, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 11.1.2.4.0 to 11.1.2.4.0 [Release Oracle11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ComboboxListOfValues does not render correctly in IE when Display Width exceeds a certain amount. The drop arrow button is not correctly rendered at the very end of the ComboboxListOfValues. It is offset to the left of the input area.

NOTE: This only happens when OVERRIDE_IE_COMPATIBILITY_MODE flag is set to TRUE in web.xml file. It renders fine with this flag set to FALSE or not set.

NOTE: In the image above, user details (name, department and email ) represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance).  Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.
