ODI 12c User with "View" Privilege Acquires Locks on Objects when Opening and Not Releasing Locks when Closing

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Studio is configured for "Concurrent Development." When a user opens up an object, the object is locked. However, when the object editor is closed, the object lock is not released.
ODI Preferences are set in section ODI -> System -> Concurrent Development as:
- Check For Concurrent Editing : <enabled>
- Lock Object When Opening: YES
- Unlock Object When closing: YES
The ODI user belongs to a role which has NG Designer profile assigned with Generic View method granted to Projects, Folders and Mappings.
