Known Issues and Properly Running Certified RCU Versions Against Oracle Database 12c (Doc ID 2004652.1)

Last updated on MARCH 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document outlines popular known issues and describes how to properly run the Repository Creation Assistant (RCU) Certified against an Oracle Database 12c. This has been a newer certified combination by following the Certification on My Oracle Support (Certify tab) or http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-certification-100350.html

Before starting, you should be able to understand the new Oracle Database 12c database terminology; Multi-tenant Database, non-Container Database (non-CDB), Container Database (CDB), Pluggable Database (PDB), and how they can affect RCU operation. These features are not explicit certification criteria, but are tested while certifying Oracle Database 12c for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g and 12c, and will require a correct configuration of the Oracle Database for successful results.

Scope

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (and 11gR2) Administrators should work with DBAs. This is not intended to be an exhaustive summary of Oracle Database 12c Database architecture.
