Portal Upgrade Precheck Fails With Error WWU-00011: There Are Concurrent Sessions Running (Doc ID 2005619.1)

Symptoms

 While performing an upgrade from 10g to 11g, the repository upgrade fails with the following error:

  
Calling upg/common/prechk/upprechk.sql

### ERROR:  WWU-00011: There are concurrent sessions running for the schema you
###         are upgrading.
### CAUSE:  There are other sessions running on the OracleAS Portal schema.
### ACTION: Make sure the Oracle Application Server 10g middle tier is shut down
###         and there are no other connections to the schema being upgraded. Look
###         under Open Sessions in the upgrade log for a list of open sessions
###         for the schema.
