Exalogic Virtual: A Static or Dynamic IP Address For a Network Is No Longer Being Used By EMOC Even Though It Is Not In Use With Any Currently Defined vServer (Doc ID 2007987.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.1.1 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

You have an installation of Exalogic running the Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software in a virtual configuration where you would like to use a specific IP address for a new vServer you are planning to create. The IP address has been allocated to the account you will create the vServer from and can be seen in the list of IP's presented after clicking on the the "View Reserved IP Addresses" icon for the account under the Enterprise Manager OpCenter (EMOC) browser UI (BUI). However, during execution of the "Create vServer" wizard, the desired IP address does not show in the drop down list of IP addresses presented when the "Static IP" address allocation scheme is selected.
