Total vCPUs Count On the Compute Nodes Is More Than Actual Total Physical CPUs In Exalogic Virtual Environments (Doc ID 2008264.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.2 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

In Exalogic virtual racks, on the Dom0 Compute nodes we might see the total count of vCPU's assigned to compute node is higher than the actual physical available CPU on the Compute Node

For e.g. if you look at below "xm list" command output total CPU count shows as 38 which is higher than the compute node CPU count which is 32.
