User's Message Board Not Identified When Publishing Text (Doc ID 2010966.1)

Last updated on MARCH 14, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.8.6 to 11.1.1.8.6 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the activity stream, user's message posted in the Message Board  taskflow did not indicate on whose wall the message was published.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Create two pages in portal.
  2. One is for viewing self or logged in user profile  'P1' and another as 'P2' for viewing other user profiles.
  3. Drop three taskflows into both the pages.
    i.e Profile-Snapshot,Publisher and Activity Stream.
    For P1 page,we kept the input parameter for all the three taskflows as: #{securityContext.userName}
    And for P2 page kept it as  #{param['wc.username']}

User is able to view both the P1 and P2 page properly.
User is able to post some message in Publisher taskflow and immediately view  it in Activity Stream taskflow in both P1(i.e users own profile) and P2 page (i.e somebody else's profile who is in my connection list).
But the message posted using publisher taskflow in P2 is shows as mentioned below in Activity Stream of the user.

Log shows:

2015-02-23T15:41:01.238+05:30 WC_Spaces NOTIFICATION] [http://<HOST>.peopleconnections.wall.internal.model.UserWallImpl[tid: userId: <USER_ID> ecid:<ECID> DSID: 0000KipsWu0E^MJpMk^Aye1KqRYr00000M User <USER_ID> adding message with ID <MESSAGE_ID> to Message Boardof null
