OS Certification Prerequisite Check Failing on Red Hat Linux 7 While Installing FMW/WLS 11g and 12c (Doc ID 2014538.1)

Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.6 and later
Linux x86-64
- Oracle Linux 7 and Red Hat 7 did not become certified until the 12.1.3/12.2.1 release time.
- These initial versions certified requires an extra step to workaround the Installer's prerequisite check
- This document is targeted for versions 10.3.6, 11.1.1.9, 12.1.3.0, and 12.2.1.0

Symptoms

Installing Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g and 12c versions including Oracle Weblogic Server certified on RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.x 64-bit

Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) Prerequisite screen is reporting that the installer is not certified on Redhat 7:
