No Thumbnail Displayed in Folio for Item When Using "Insert Item by Checkin " (Doc ID 2015151.1)

Symptoms

Thumbnails are created for items checked in as follows:

Word documents go through Refinery to create a PDF and thumbnail. JPG files go through DAM to create renditions, including a thumbnail.

When an item is added to a folio through the Insert Item by Checkin option, the folio does not display a thumbnail for the item.

The thumbnails for these same items do display correctly on the Search Results page, when using Thumbnail view.

If an existing Word doc or JPG file is added to the folio through the Insert Item by Search option, the thumbnail does display correctly in the folio, but not when added to the folio through the Insert Item by Checkin option.
