Symptoms

The following error message is received when executing an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c Mapping (or ODI 11g / 10g Integration Interface) that uses an Oracle database sequence in one of its attributes:

ODI-1228: Task <TASK_NAME>-IKM <KM_NAME>- fails on the target connection <CONNECTION_NAME>.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-02287: sequence number not allowed here
