Goal
With the deprecation of mod_plsql within the Oracle HTTP Server, mod_plsql applications will need to move to one of the supported PL/SQL Gateway alternatives:
- Oracle REST Data Services
- The Embedded PL/SQL Gateway provided with the Oracle database.
This document focuses on the Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) option. For more information on the database Embedded PL/SQL Gateway option, please see: Configuring Embedded PL/SQL Gateway: Overview in the Database Advanced Application Developer's Guide for your database version. Also see the XML DB <Note 1112237.1> - Simple Example Using dbms_epg - Embedded PL/ SQL Gateway.
