Unable to Propagate a Newly Added Remote Portlet in an Existing Library Page (Doc ID 2021055.1)

Last updated on MAY 27, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Portal - Version 10.3.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Unable to propagate a newly added remote portlet in an existing library page with another instance of the remote portlet.

For example, consider that there are two WebLogic Portal (WLP) 10.3.2 domains. One domain hosts the producer application and the other domain hosts the consumer application.  On the source side, the consumer portal application has two remote portlets (remotePortlet A and remotePortlet B) . Now, a library page (page A) is created and one of the remote portlets (e.g., remotePortlet A) is added to it.  Now, propagate the application and the propagation is successful.

Next, add the other remote portlet (remotePortlet B) to the existing page with the remote portlet (page A) and then propagate again.  The remote portlet, remotePortlet B, will not appear on the destination consumer side.

Note: There are no error messages in the propagation or server logs.
