Symptoms

Following message is received when executing a Scenario in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.1.2 or 12.2.3, and the component-style "LKM Oracle to Oracle Pull (DB Link)" knowledge module is used by the underlying Mapping:

ODI-1217: Session <NAME> fails with return code ODI-1298.
ODI-1226: Step <NAME> fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1240: Flow <NAME> fails while performing a Insert flow into I$ table-IKM Oracle Incremental Update- operation. This flow loads target table <NAME>
ODI-1298: Serial task "SERIAL-MAP_MAIN- (40)" failed because child task "SERIAL-EU-TARGET_ODS_<NAME>_UNIT (70)" is in error.
ODI-1298: Serial task "SERIAL-EU-TARGET_ODS_XXX_UNIT (70)" failed because child task "Insert flow into I$ table-IKM Oracle Incremental Update- (100)" is in error.
ODI-1228: Task Insert flow into I$ table-IKM Oracle Incremental Update- fails on the target connection <NAME>_TARGET.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
