Blank Pages Occur During Import Of Capture PDF Document To TIFF Conversion Using OIT (Doc ID 2029708.1)

Symptoms

Incoming invoices in the form of multipage PDFs are being converted to TIFFs with occasional blank pages. That is, pages with content in the PDF are appearing as blank in the resulting TIFF. This is occurring in Oracle Document Capture, in the PDF to TIFF conversion using Outside In Technology (OIT).

Symptoms include:

  1. OIT produces the following error "Error occurred in OIT EXRunExport. Error Number: 13, Error: not enough memory for allocation". 
  2. The blank pages typically contain image objects rather than text.
  3. The error does not consistently occur.
  4. A PDF that had blank pages in a conversion may be fine if converted again.

Customer is currently using ODC version 10.1.3.5.1 (including cumulative patchset 4) and OIT version 8.3.7.36.
