Symptoms

Special characters are not being encoding properly in a vanity url when creating them based on a pattern. For example a pattern exists that creates a vanity url from the description field of an asset, the field contains a '&' character and so does the vanity url. As a result the vanity url is not navigable. Can a vanity url created by a pattern include restricted characters?
