The main symptom perceived by the end user s login slowness. In few cases the user login may fail at all.
However those symptoms are not unique to the current problem. Also in many cases there are no symptoms at all.
To correctly diagnose the problem enable the libovd debug or intercept the LDAP traffic using wireshark and check the query executed to fetch the user. If you see a user search query with baseDN that doesn't match the usersearchbase defined in the Weblogic configuration and adapters.os_xml you may be affected by the problem.
For example, if your User search base is CN=Users,DC=company,DC=com but you see queries with baseDN: DC=company,DC=com and filter similar to (&(uid=jdoe)(objectlass=user)), that's the case.
Please notice that this KM applies only to installations that use libOVD (virtualize flag is set to true)
