Error In Applying Patch (Doc ID 2035908.1)

When applying patch, the following error is thrown:

 Detail: OPatchSession cannot load inventory for the given Oracle Home /<FMW_HOME>/oracle_common. Possible causes are:
No read or write permission to ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage
Central Inventory is locked by another OUI instance
No read permission to Central Inventory
The lock file exists in ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage
The Oracle Home does not exist in Central Inventory

[ Error during Oracle Home discovery Phase]. Detail: OPatch failed: ApplySession failed to prepare the system. OracleHomeInventory gets null oracleHomeInfo
Log file location: /<FMW_HOME>/oracle_common/cfgtoollogs/opatch/19824874_Jun_01_2015_23_12_17/apply2015-06-01_23-12-17PM_1.log
