Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Guest VMs that have correct time before shutdown of the VM from EMOC, when they are started up the time is always incorrect - 11 minutes behind.

NTP is correctly configured which has the correct time.

Sometimes we can see that the startup time stamp of vserver will be shown earlier than the shutdown time stamp.

Time stamp during vserver shutdown:

Jul 24 15:27:30 vserver1 kernel: Kernel logging (proc) stopped.
Jul 24 15:27:30 vserver1 rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="5.8.10" x-pid="1694" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] exiting on signal 15.

Time stamp during restart:

Jul 24 15:25:52 vserver1 kernel: imklog 5.8.10, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
Jul 24 15:25:52 vserver1 rsyslogd
