Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 1.0.0.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

Goal

While performing PSU upgrade for the ZFS appliance part of Exalogic PSU, there is a chance that the upgrade fails because there is not enough free space on the system code update area. The reason for this is that, there is a 15 GIG quota on the system code update area for the ZFS appliance.

The recommendation is to keep at most 3 recent updates including current level, All others should be deleted.

This Note provides steps to cleanup unwanted updates and free up space in system code update area of ZFS heads.
