When Running The 'reconfig.bat' Script From iPlanet Web Server 7.0, On Windows, Configuration Changes Are Not Loaded. (Doc ID 2039673.1)

Symptoms

According to "Oracle iPlanet Web Server 7.0.9 Administrator's Configuration", "Dynamic Reconfiguration" section, many iPlanet configuration settings can be changed dynamically, ie without restarting iPlanet instance.

However, when making a manual change to the obj.conf file, the change is not reflected after running the 'reconfig.bat' script.
