"driver could not establish a connection using Kerberos (type 4) integrated security: Configuration Error" When Connecting To a Kerberos Protected Hadoop Cluster or MS SQL Server in ODI (Doc ID 2042462.1)

Symptoms

After Kerberos has been configured on a production Cluster, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI ) 12c is no longer able to connect to that Cluster.

Using the WebLogic DataDirect JDBC Driver (wlhive.jar):

jdbc:weblogic:hive://hostname:10000;databaseName=default;AuthenticationMethod=kerberos;ServicePrincipalName=hive/hiveServer2Host@EXAMPLE.COM

... the connection test (using Local No Agent) fails with:

java.sql.SQLException: [FMWGEN][Hive JDBC Driver]A username was not specified and the driver could not establish a connection using Kerberos (type 4) integrated security: Configuration Error:
