(Doc ID 2043633.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 21, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle TopLink - Version 12.1.2.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When following the "FirstResult/MaxRows" sample for pagination on JPA, available here. It is needed to set the parameter "eclipselink.target-database"
in file "persistence.xml" to a supported database. When this parameter is set to "Oracle" the query generated for pagination includes the SQL hint /* +FIRST_ROWS */ as in the example.
When the parameter is set to "Oracle11" (DB is Oracle 11g), the SQL hint is not included.
How to get the hint using Oracle11 as target database?
