Failure to Start WebCenter Spaces Managed Server After Setting the -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC Parameter (Doc ID 2043787.1)

Symptoms

In a WebCenter 11.1.1.8.x domain, the WebCenter Spaces managed server fails to start if the startup parameter -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC is set.

1. Log in to the Administration Server UI, and navigate to the the Server Start tab for the WebCenter Spaces managed server. Add the following argument
 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC.



2. Attempt to restart the managed server - the message 'Failure not restartable.' is returned.
