Standalone Report Server Fails To Start During Installation On Windows Machine With Loopback Apdapter (Doc ID 2043841.1)

Symptoms

Standalone Report Server fails to start at the configuration stage while installing Forms & Reports 11.1.2 on a Windows 7, 64bit machine, having a loopback adapter configured.

This error is shown in the "Configuration Process" window of the installer (similar as in NOTE:1250044.1 : Error During Installation While Configuring 11g Reports):

"Excecuting opmnctl startproc ias_component RptSvr_servername_asinst_1 has failed"

All other components could be installed without any problem, after skipping this step in installer.

When trying to start the Reports Server from Fusion Middleware Control (Enterprise Manager) later, it also does not work.


The in-process Reports Server can be started and showjobs page works fine, after having set "Web Command Access Level" to L1.

Changes

 Loopback adapter is configured.
