Symptoms

Executing 'dsreplication enable' between two instances over a slow WAN can result in an error.  For example...

$ <INSTANCE_ROOT>/OUD/bin/dsreplication enable --host1 <HOSTNAME1> --port1 <ADMIN_PORT> --bindDN1 "cn=<DS_ADMIN>" --bindPasswordFile1 <PASSWORD_FILE> --replicationPort1 <REPL_PORT1> --host2 <HOSTNAME2> --port2 <ADMIN_PORT2> --bindDN2 "cn=<DS_ADMIN>" --bindPasswordFile2 <PASSWORD_FILE> --replicationPort2 <REPL_PORT2> --adminUID admin --adminPasswordFile <PASSWORD_FILE> --baseDN <SUFFIX_DN> -X -n
