Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g 11.1.1.7.0.

Unable to search users in Oracle Virtual Directory View.

When try to search users in the view, it returns "No Such Objects" error in Softerra Ldap browser or any other ldap browser.

In Softerra when try to search users, there are scope and other search related parameters:
- If parameter set is scope is Sub tree level, and handle referrals checked, enable Paging checked, it returns No Such Object error
- When unchecking the Enable paging parameter, the search works fine, able to search all possible users in OVD

Command line ldapsearch with -j argument for paging also fails:

Applied <Patch 17769138> (dated: Last Updated 16-DEC-2013) as directed in ReadMe and it applied successfully with no errors and no conflicts reported, however the issue still remains; still not able to search user entry with Softerra, or from ldapsearch command either with -j and -z options.
