Symptoms
When Node Manager starts a server, it captures the standard out and standard error output from the process and redirects it to a file called server_name.out, where server_name is the name of the server in question. See https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e13740/overview.htm#NODEM154 for more information. The resulting file cannot be limited in size or rotated, even when the parameters in nodemanager.properties regarding log rotation are changed.
