How To Disable Reverse DNS Queries For Incoming IPs in OAG.
(Doc ID 2052481.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
It was noticed in network logs that OAG performs reverse DNS queries for incoming server IPs.
For example, when a sever with IP <IP ADDRESS> calls OAG, the Gateway makes a reverse DNS query:
queries: info: client <CLIENT IP>#<PORT>: query: <IP ADDRESS>.in-addr.arpa IN PTR
This causes network latency.
Is it possible to disable the reverse DNS queries being performed?
