How To Disable Reverse DNS Queries For Incoming IPs in OAG. (Doc ID 2052481.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 20, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

It was noticed in network logs that OAG performs reverse DNS queries for incoming server IPs.

For example, when a sever with IP 212.205.85.250 calls OAG, the Gateway makes a reverse DNS query:

queries: info: client 10.101.13.68#50491: query: 250.85.205.212.in-addr.arpa IN PTR

This causes network latency.

Is it possible to disable the reverse DNS queries being performed?
