How to Update the ActiveMQ Version to 5.11.1 for Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) (Doc ID 2056927.1)

Goal

ActiveMQ versions prior to 5.11.1 allow an unprivileged user to terminate the ActiveMQ broker..  If this is running embedded in Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) then the EDQ instance will also be terminated.

This note covers the steps required to update the ActiveMQ version to 5.11.1.  There are two alternative approaches:

  A: Upgrade the embedded ActiveMQ version to 5.11.1

or

  B: Run ActiveMQ 5.11.1 as a standalone service
