'Certificate Chain Not Trusted' Message When Starting JDeveloper 12.1.3

Goal
It is noticed that a 'Certificate Chain Not Trusted' message appears when starting JDeveloper 12.1.3. It is noted that there are project(s) loaded into the navigator at startup and that they are checked out via SVN which uses SSL.
How can this message be resolved so that it does not appear every time JDeveloper starts up?
